Is Microsoft Internet Explorer 8s version targeting good or bad?
Microsoft’s marketing of Internet Explorer 8 beta is a very bad thing. It is a dirty little trick!
Allow me to explain. Beta really means there are numerous bugs in the program that need to be worked out before the final release to release full version one. So you see the consumer is basically testing the new beta software out and will encounter many bugs. Then the consumer must spend quite a bit of time when it does not work as expected, and it will not. Chances are the consumer will call Microsoft and may have to shell out money to technical support to fix their new bugs and there is no guarantee that Microsoft will Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsDoes it take a hacker to catch a hacker?
Remember the old debate? Who’s best to catch a criminal, a cop or another criminal? Why a criminal who became a cop! (Not a cop who became a criminal.) So when asking yourself, “Who is better to catch a hacker?” I would suggest a former hacker who has gone straight and is now using his former skill set towards catching hackers.
I know the type. Have I been a hacker? Yes, but legally as a private investigator. I hacked my way into other people’s computers and examined them for criminal activity, illegal activity and immoral activity.
Was I a hacker before? Well I would have to plead the fifth on that but understand that Hacking 101 Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsInternet safeguards we should have to help stop hacking
Each day, thousands of people are shocked to discover they have become the victim of hackers. Whether their identity has been stolen, their on-line accounts broken into, or simply their personal information wiped from their hard disk, a few simple precautions could have protected them.
Some of the most basic protections include the installation of a firewall and both anti-virus and anti-spyware software. However, the most important protection a computer user has is personal awareness of existing security threats combined with knowledge of best-practices in how to avoid these threats. The system best protected by software will still be vulnerable if the user unknowingly provides system access to a hacker.
Some of the most serious threats that may bypass Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsAre penalties against hacking too severe?
Penalties for hacking vary from state to state and from nation to nation however it could hardly be argued penalties are too severe. Computer hacking is not victimless, it involves an invasion of personal property and often the theft or vandalism of personal property. The same applies to governments, banks and commercial computer networks and systems they are private property and not free to the world for very good reasons.
The image of harmless computer nerds’ having a little fun or perhaps rebellious cyber geeks living in their own fantasy of hi-tech anarchy are a long way from the reality of what hacking is all about. Hacking costs someone time and money moreover accessing personal Read the rest of this entry »

Reporting defects in a piece of software can be helpful to both the software company and other end users of the software.
Now, we understand that the question we are talking about is, (as the title of this article indicates), “When to report a bug to a software company”, however ,the question that should be asked first is – “Why is it, that software is released to the market, with functional defects, in the first place?

No CommentsBusiness process management software and how it can add to your bottom line
Simply put, a business that is not run efficiently is going to make less money in the long run and see it’s bottom line shrink or flat line rather then grow. Efficiently running a business doesn’t have to include more employees, rather software can be used to sort and organize the processes within your business.
Business process management is an approach that looks at the business structure as a whole and works out ways to eliminate wasteful procedures and positions, and maximize the time, money, and effort spend on running the business. How do hackers get inside your computer?
What can you do to protect yourself from them?
Is there any 100% secure software?
The first thing you need to know about hackers is that they are not bad people. They only like to get inside computers so they can see the information they keep inside. Most hackers will only take a look at that software and information, change nothing and then go away.
The evil hacker is the one that will get inside your computer and get all information they can get from you for free and then sell it to someone else or even use it themselves to drain your bank account or even to use your email accounts like they want.

No CommentsComputer hackers and how they work
Hackers have created their own real and virtual worlds for their work to flourish. In the old days, hackers showed off their skill in oneupmanship and exposing security vulnerabilities to embarrass people into fixing them. Now, hackers are all about the Benjamins: they want money and lots of it. Hackers will sell out their services to anyone willing to pay for them, meaning that hackers become criminal hackers (crackers) when they earn money to break laws.
Hackers wear multiple hats, and they can be criminal or on the side of justice. They mentor up-and-coming hackers, they provide security consulting services to major software and Internet security corporations and even to service providers. Hackers even consult Read the rest of this entry »
