Poetry: Love & money
Money and Love
Money and love
You can’t have one
Without the other?
It’s been said “It’s so”
But I don’t agree.
There has to be another
Way to live
Where people share (everything)
And give (away anything).
They will care (about everyone)
And live (in peace);
Without greed
Without war and economic power
(Generalized reciprocity?
Sharing + friends = riches)
When we Unite
People won’t try
To put themselves
Above others!
There will be fairness! because
Most want goodness! It (The Good) will
Prevail; and maybe one day
No one will die
Because of hunger, and
Everyone one will have all of their needs met!
But, wait! all this
Sounds too idealistic seems
Too unrealistic!

Reflections: Should you marry for money
Marriage is a wonderful and beautiful thing, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, till death do you part. Love and marriage, it sounds like a fairy tale of sorts. However, marriage is not a fairy tale and unfortunately fifty percent of the time, there is not a happy ending. Could marrying for money make a difference in this outcome? I think that it is possible that the sacred act of marriage could be saved if we looked at a person’s finances before saying “I do.” After all,the lack of money is the leading cause of divorce.
Love is an important part of marriage, but you cannot live on love alone. Love does not Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsUncovering a money
Secrets and lies poison a marriage. Secrets or lies about money in a marriage add insult to the injury. In 2005, a financial discrepancy in the bank account revealed a money transfer of $200 dollars from our joint checking account to another joint account. My husband handled the day to day finances, but I handled the yearly taxes. This year, I was trying to separate business expenses from personal expenses. That $200 dollar transfer earned a highlight to be investigated for what category it fell into later.
Soon another transfer of $50 dollars joined it, then one for $150 and another for $15. A pattern of unidentified financial transfers continued for nearly ten months, beginning in February Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsTestimonies: How to make money like I do
This is a long article but if you read it all, and follow in my footsteps I truly believe by the end of next week you will have already earned money and made a profit.
First of all let me tell you my short story as to how I came about this business venture years ago. After almost 2 years of being married to my husband we saw a billboard when driving down the highway in Orlando, Florida.
The billboard said something like Buy and Sell and a top name auction site with it.
We had purchased a computer not even a year before so I told my husband when we got home I would go to that auction site.

Testimonies: Finding that black urban renaissance man
Television paints both black men and women as being monolithic, dim, ignorant individuals with their mind preoccupied on simple interests that provide instant gratification. Black women like black men as long as that preoccupation is money, and black men like black women as long as that preoccupation is to be there for them. But while the catalyst for black men to be different isn’t necessary there, you have to ask yourself a few obvious questions about a black man, to truly get a feel for just how much of a renaissance man this guy truly is.
Chances are your black man is a renaissance man if one of a few things have occurred; he was raised by a single Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsReflections: Money
Money is said to be the root of all evil by some. It is also needed to live in this world. We use it to buy goods, pay the rent and just have a decent live. The thing is money should not be all you think about.
There are others things in this world besides money. Though we do need money. What you do with your money says a lot about you. Do you horde it away guarding it. On the other hand, are you loose letting is fly away. Are you tight and cheap with your money. On the the other hand, are you spending, spending and spending even more then you earn.
Do you tithe any of Read the rest of this entry »
Essays: A thousand words paint a picture
A thousand words paint a picture in less than a thousand words. If a single picture is worth a thousand words, then you should be able to visualize a picture from a thousand words. Yet it takes a less than a thousand words to paint a picture. Sometimes it takes a song. Take the famous song House of the Raising Sun by The Animals. That evokes a certain sense of picture of a boy and his dysfunctional father. I’m sure it is less than a thousand words. I can even see it in motion.
I am also very fond of Sunday Morning Coming Down by Kris Kristofferson. It is by no Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsReflections: Money clips
I never heard of a money clip until I saw one in an American movie. I think it was Die Hard. If it wasn’t that specific film, it was something like it. The hero was a man of few words, strong, macho, quick-witted, ingenious and irrepressible. As a man of few words myself I liked to associate with the other descriptors as well.
The hero in the film had one. He had a money clip too. And that’s all I know about money clips. Whenever I have thought about them since I have always associated them with America and the American way of life, which is largely to do with accumulating money whilst spending it at the same time, being Read the rest of this entry »
